Bob's RETIREMENT

What started out as a celebration of a man's career and retirement turned into a celebration of the man himself. As I maneuvered through the room I found it jam packed with friends and co-workers, even some colleagues from the earlier years had showed up for the celebration. I was there simply to snap some photos as a reminder of the wonderful day. However, I quickly felt like no photographs from this day could ever truly capture the reason these people had gathered. Bob Stephenson, has put in 36 years at Memorial Health University as a Pharmacist and this year he would decide to retire. All the people and the memories that were being shared gave me only a glimpse into Bob's past. However, one thing stood out to me as I worked my way through the crowd. It was that everyone there "truly and sincerely" respected this man. It wasn't his dedication to the company that they were talking about, but it was his impeccable ethics...his trustworthiness...his kindness...it was that he is truly an exceptional human being and a good friend to those who have met him & worked with him. Bob...YOU will be missed!!!!

Here are a few of the photos from the party and I have attached a slideshow at the end. I hope I got most everyone in it, but I apologize if you were missed.

Met Bob...Bob is newly retired and ready to take off the suit and tie...ha.ha. Bob enjoys fishing...lazy days...family time and simply not working anymore. woooo-hoooo...live it up Bob!

This is Bob with one of his daughters & his wife...I know they were extremely proud of him.

Here's just a few photos of "some" of the delicious food & deserts.

And here is Mr Ken presenting Bob with one of two plaques. The first plaque was from the "Board of Directors of the Georgia Society of Health-System Pharmacists" where Bob served as President in 1984 and was a longtime member. The second plaque was from Memorial Health University Medical Center for his 36 years of dedicated service. Memorial Health is one of Fortune's 100 Best Companies to Work For (again in 2007). This makes four years in a row now. It is a prestigious award proving that not only Bob loves (or loved) his job. :) Way to go Memorial Health!

I'm sure that Bob will find a special place for this...WOW...simply amazing.

And of course the ladies had beautiful flowers everywhere. What an absolutely wonderful party. You ladies did an amazing job putting everything together...I know it meant alot to Bob.

I hope you enjoy those few photos...to see a more in depth look check out the slideshow.
